It's happened to me a couple of times. I had the carb (or was it head) off of a Dodge Omni once, first drive after it stuck wide open on a 6 lane straight road in no traffic. Was an easy fix.
the other time was with an '85 Olds Delta 88. It used to stick from time to time. That one sucked.
