Feel I have to give both practical and not so practical advice.....
Practical Advice: Head to Australia - lots of room to live, and, if you want to, room to live cheaply. Lots of good people, good universal health care, decent job prospects. Was most recently there in October, best friend from HS lives there full time. As surely as our frontier is closed, theirs is still open just a bit. Still possibilities there that don't exist in a fully settled country like ours. It is America, only more so....
Need to get by for 4 years until you can take Social Security & Medicare to provide a base, and it's a good place to get a job since it is the only big economy not to take it on the chin in the past few years, and you are exotic in the way an Aussie or Brit is here in the US....
The Bigger Picture Advice: When settled physically, go out somewhere, rest in an empty & silent area, and then spend some long evenings reading philosophy or history or poetry, or novels with a feel like that of the Razor's Edge or Siddartha, and figure out what/where/when you really want.....
I'll bet the next step will be clear before too long....
