well since i cant count how many times i have bean to baja over the years i will beg to differ on WHERE CRIME IS.
crime is ANYWHERE! especially NOW! have heard or known of race pits in the middle of freeking NOWHERE being tied up/ripped off and left in their underwear even stealing their pit bikes vehicles and ice chests.
now why is this? becuz narcos drug routes change with the MILI-TARS checkpoints. militars change personnal due to bribes and obviously trying to upset narcos routines and routes.
cant count how many times we have run into MILITARS in the middle of BFE nowhere. well if militars are out there............there is a REASON.
i for juan will not be going back until things chill out and the militars have the upper hand and they dont have the upper hand as evidenced by the latests spate of killings in TJ.
the entire damn peninsula is used for traffiking, and if you are in the narcos way, well its yer ass.
even before all the bloodshed, we ONLY WENT ON RACE WEEKENDS and spent the previous week and week after the race. san felipe 250 coming up, the baja 500 in june, and the baja 1000 in november.
i got better things to do aside from being beheaded and then dissolved in acid. call it one of my character flaws. but the NUMERO UNO RULE OF BAJA TREKKING.............1) DONT GET DEAD IN BAJA!
