I agree something needs to be done, but lets figure out how to do it first. Sliding scale? For instance, I'm 200 pounds, but I'm over 6 feet tall. Both armrests dock easily. Seats left and right are not compromised.
Instead of weight penalties, I would be more comfortable (pun intended) with a girth penalty.
