Dick Francis
Died yesterday.
I've read a LOT of his novels, sort of a guilty pleasure.
Reminds me a little of Clive Cussler only with plot lines focused around British horse racing instead of NUMA - totally easy reads, utterly predictable.
(In fact, I have Field of 13 on my bedside table right now)
One of those people that seemed to do a lot with what he was given.
Godspeed.
