It’s really my pleasure. My kid is only 3 ½ so he’s not really playing yet. I was a coach in the college ranks way back in the early 1990’s. % years ago I was sitting at a Flyers game with my dad and a buddy I had played men’s league with walked up and asked me if I would help him with an all star team of kids which was the state of PA’s entrant in the summer National AAA tourney. I was not sure if I wanted to work with young kids and deal with parents. Turned out to be a fantastic experience and working with kids and teaching them the game I love and a game that gave me so much has been a great experience. I got to play all over North America and a bit in Europe as a kid and it was a life shaping experience for me.
I am a bit jealous, I am looking forward to the day when I can see my son score his first hat trick. I have fond memories of my Dad sitting in the stands throughout my career.
