There's been this ad on CL for a 914 for about 2 years now, exact same ad, reposted ever 2 weeks. I've called a few times and left messages, emailed, two friends have as well...never get a reply. 2 years I've seen this ad.
So I just called and got him, he was very nice in the intro hello (I'm glad I've reached you I said to which he replied how can I help you) and when I said I'm calling about the 914, his voice immediately changes to stressed-out and he says he's going out to a class, can I call tomorrow. He hangs up immediately. Crazy!
Any thoughts on why someone would run this ad for 2 years?

I loved this car, and have owned it for some 26 years, but it has been sitting unregistered and unused except for a semiannual starting. Ive moved, and am selling the house where car is located (Holden, north of Worcester), and have no room at my new home. It is going to take a fair amount of work to get everything up to snuff and some attention to details, but it is in overall good condition.
