Also, as a side note, in the other world (the flash sideways), Rose and Hurley were on the same plane that landed at LAX. That's kinda odd since now we just learned that Hurley is Rose's boss at the temp agency. Strange that Ross and her boss would just happen to be coming home on the same plane from Sydney. So clearly they knew each other prior to the doomed flight. So, technically, back in season 1, Rose and Hurley should have known each other...but yet, it didn't appear that way. I think the boy is young jacob. The flash sideways is an alternate life. I.E. hurley is "the luckiest guy in the world" where originally he was cursed. so in the alternate world he,rose,bernard etc. know each other. Maybe they were on a company trip to OZ. Maybe Rose was getting treatment for her cancer?
