Just wrapped up our first open house.
It was from 10 a.m. to noon. Everything was quiet and no one showed up for the first 1.5 hours. I've had enough friends sell houses FSBO to know that this is the way that it goes sometimes.
We had two people show up at 11:40.
One lady is single with grown kids and works in my building. She started asking questions about running gas lines and modifying the garage. It was clear she could see herself in the house.
The other guy is moving to Illinois from the UP of MI. I could tell that he REALLY likes the house, but felt disappointed--he didn't think it would last on the market until his house sold.
It was an encouraging first weekend considering the crappy weather.
