Whether you're a parent or not, I'm sure that you've experienced the feeling of helplessness while reading Mike Shore's (MadMike) posts about his son Spencer and his battle with cancer. Personally, I can't begin to imagine what it's like for a family to go through an ordeal like this. I'm sure it's way more emotionally and financially taxing than any of us can fathom.
When something like this happens there is an immediate outpouring of emotional and financial help. There have been several fund-raising events here in Phoenix to help offset the massive medical bills that the Shores family is facing, but those took place quite a while ago. With the return of Spencer's cancer comes more medical bills, more travel expenses, and more time away from work for Mike and April.
I thought I'd post a link to the Paypal account set up by a friend of the Shores to accept donations for the family. Give if you can. No amount is too small (or too large for that matter
).
