Folks, I would like to know what people think of installing a Stingray Hydrofoil on to my 18.5 foot Carolina Skiff DLX. I have a 75Hp Mercury on the back and would like to use it to improve my hole shot plus of course planing easier and improve fuel economy.

Has anyone either installed one on their boat (of any kind) who can give me a recommendation as to how it works good or bad? Or if you know FIRSTHAND someone who has done this that would be fine but with all due respect none of this "I read X or heard X" type of stuff. Please just those that have had actual experience installing and using one.

I use the boat in both fresh and salt water, mostly for fishing but also will be pulling at least a tube....and I don't have the cash to install Trim Tabs...that would be pretty cool though.
