Well, the watch is at the Movado service center in NJ. Has been there for almost three weeks.
The Movado saga continues. I bought this watch for may wife a number of years ago, probably 20+, thought it was a really nice timepiece and thought Movado was good manufacturer. Can't remember what I paid but pretty certain it was not cheap for a stainless and gold watch, quartz movement. Well, have been communicating with the Movado service facility and they are now telling me after having the watch for three weeks that they still have not found the parts as the watch is "old" and not sure they will have all parts for repair. I've never heard that line from the Rolex service center. Perhaps I should take it back to Tourneau and see if they want it for a very light paperweight.
Never heard something quite so silly for a perceived quality product. Can't wait to see what the repair bill will be if they come up with the parts. What really pisses me off is that I bought it as a birthday present and thought I was giving her something as a lasting momento, well guess I got screwed on that. Looking pretty silly, I'm embarassed too tell her that I gave her a POS many years ago, just kidding, but that's the way I feel. Lucky for me she's just as happy with a nice Timex.
No more Movado's for me!
