It's all good! You're probably right that it's based on the Cayenne's NA V8. Is the Cayenne's engine a 180 degree crankshaft configuration?
Ruf has been in partnership with various other companies when developping parts, so it might still be the case for the engine. Nonetheless, they know what they're doing.
