Anyway to inspect the belt on an engine without ripping it all apart? My car has 144,000 miles and I have no idea when or if the timing belt has been changed. I have only put probably 10,000 miles on it since I have had it. It sat for two years and I just the other day got it back on the road and it still runs like a striped azzed ape and the oil pressure is still high. Are there any symptoms of one about to go, or do they just go? I really can't afford to have it done right now, but then again I can't afford a new engine either. I would like to license it again and start driving it around.
Thanks!!!
