Easy-off. Now that's an idea. But will that be ok for AL? I know it should be ok for steel. That would be a great start, having most of it out of the way. Then go at it with rubbing compound, then Mothers or rouge (or I think Mothers is rouge). Don't have a place to make to much of a mess, so the only equipment I can use is my arms. I do have a friend with a beadblaster. What media should I use? What media should be used for aluminum? Oh, BTW, that picture is one I got at this website, although mine are in as rough a condition. The caps are plastic with the Porsche crest, which I will repaint. Which makes me think of another question...Will other Porsche caps work? Was there a standard diameter? I'd like to just get new ones.

I think they're worth saving, do you? I think they would look sharp with a polished lip and the raised edges of the spokes polished and the rest a natural steel color. And with the chrome lug nuts and new or re-painted caps. As long as they're aluminum and not mag, I'm going for it. And they're 15x5.5 BTW. Thanks everyone!
