I agree with Tobra - despite Marv Evan's luck, the chances of getting it killed in Ct. are very low (somebody should run an analysis and see what the statistics are).
The Judge sees the cops all the time, and they are "professional witnesses." You have little chance.
You still may want to take your wrongly-issued ticket to Ct. on the off chance that you are found not guilty OR b/c it is worth it to you to fight and cost them $$. If everybody did that, the system would break down.
That said, cops are unlikely to be doing it (with a few exceptions) for money or spite. They are ones who see gore and body parts spread all over the Hwy. It is not an appetizing sight, and it their job and duty to try and reduce that.
In nearly every state, the Hwy patrol usually has the best, most highly trained and professional officers. And, the Calif. Hwy patrol is highly regarded among the 50 states.
