20 year old restorations not so bad.

30+ year old restorations.........................hang on to yer ass.



now if yer a total MORON and think i dont know what the hell im talking about, buy that "good deal cheap" and get on the thang and go ride it 50 miles away from your house truck and trailer and then write me all about yer mis adventures walking back becuz it BROKE!


replace everything. details count big time. see it takes 100 - 1%'s to make up 100%. sweat the small stuff. replace swingarm bearings wheel bearings rebuild shocks or replace replace steering head bearings grease brake pivots new fork seals new fluids new plug wire and cap and points and on and on and on...........and you will have something reliable. and if yer cheap and ya dont crack the case............wanna beat yer crank seals will take a POO.


if yer a cheap ass.........................this or any restoration could quite possibly turn into yer worst nightmare.


why beat yerself up with a really old dt-1.....................get yerself a IT with monoshock 175 250 465. i owned the 175 and the 250 and the 175 was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more fun because how light it was. and it too can be made street legal and parts are wayyyyy easier to find.


im loosing count on how many i have done or helped on.



and there is nothing worse aside from jumping in front of a train than breaking down 50 miles into BFE with nothing.
