Once again, government is the biggest problem with our food supply. Look no further than what the government subsidizes. The FDA gives us the food pyramid, telling us that fruits and veggies are the most important. Yet, the federal government offers virtually no subsidies for that sector of the food industry.

In contrast, corn and soy are very heavily subsidized, and we wind up with processed foods made, almost exclusively, from these products.

While I have no problem with the debate over this chicken vs. that chicken, the biggest problem is the way consumers have been duped into buying food that is bad for them, highly profitable to the manufacturer and subsidized by our government. Anyone smell a rat?
