I've visited Austin a few times - culturally it ain't what I'd consider "Texas". I'm told culturally Seattle is like San Francisco, and Austin is like San Francisco. So from that perspective, Austin is like Seattle, no?
Not a single person I met there was Texan, all imports.
Saw a few Boxsters, probably a lot of 911s too... Saw more pickup trucks out here in California!
