Who says you can't drive to the shop sans muffler? I did at 6am on a Saturday after I put my headers on. My inlets are at the top too. I've got it off the car, I can try to take a pic tonite if it would help.

I took the muffler off a couple days ago and ran the car for a little to hear what it sounded like and figured I'd be pushing it trying to get to a muffler shop with it going full bore like that. Also, it ran very strange without the muffler connected. I've heard about "back pressure" and how it's good for the engine at certain RPM's, and I think I could
feel what they're talking about. The engine kind of bucked and felt very "on the edge" of working at idle. I don't really know what was happening but it was weird enough to turn me off of trying to actually drive anywhere like that.
