Great picture of past champs; Jody Schecter was toughest for me, had to look him up. Great to see Mario there, maybe someone like him is needed by USF1 to keep them honest.
Had a face to face with Fittipaldi one time at Toronto Indy (1994) I think. I met him just outside his motorhome. He was with his young son, who looked about 12 yrs old. Didn't know at the time but must have been Christian. He was very friendly and talked for a couple of minutes and happily gave me his autograph. I was very impressed with his coolness. I'm sure he would rather not have wasted time with me, but he didn't show it.
