Adrian, we're on the same wavelength. BTW, you should send me a PM with your coordinates since we're both in SE MI. I host get-togethers for other water cooled enthusiasts at least once or twice a year...

For my 931 project, I already have a good baseline to start with. My plans are to build a fresh 931 S2 motor based on the Euro specs, retaining the stock Euro DITC (digital ignition and timing control), and the Euro wastegate spring. I may consider a hot street cam, and possibly lightening the rotating assembly. Definitely will be balanced, and I have a set of competition motor mounts that will go into this car, just because the stock mounts are probably shot and I have these extras sitting on the shelf.

The G31 trans will be fitted with an LSD I have, and the Euro R&P + 5th gear will be perfect for track events. And it's easy enough to swap in some suspension upgrades, most of which I already have. Add in some forged wheels for further lightening.

You bring up a good point regarding the headlights. On the narrow body car, I'm debating about whether to do a fixed headlight conversion (I have the stuff on the shelf) or to leave the flip ups...thinking about the 924S "SE" vs. the CGT. Would definitely help in the weight department...
