It just seems that they make a big deal out of any time that Ovechkin or Crosby fart but Cooke has done that exact head shot on 2 other occasions and he just skates away. I know what you mean by Chara wiping the floor with him but that hurts the Bruins because they need able bodied men that are healthy to stay on the ice. I wish that they would make suspensions for cheap head shots the same amount of time that the injured player is out (maybe with the second offense). Eye for an eye...
Hockey is a rough sport. No doubt. People get hurt. Its part of the game. My beef is that there used to be an honor code: If you fight a guy, take your helmet off...If the guy you are fighting goes down, the fight is over...No head shots. I want to see hockey (with fights and hits) not a mafia war. (of course being Sicilian, I know that there is no such thing as organized crime...)
