They should be concentrating on building a rideable bike first, and electronics later. When Ten Kate Honda got their world championship, their bike rumored to have ~250hp, more than MotoGP at the time (the 800's were down to ~220hp). It is only a few years ago, but they did not have electronics then. And even then, they regularly got their butts creamed by the Ducs which were 50 something hp down. It is all about getting the power to the road. If you have a bike that makes the power, but is too peaky, no amount of electronics is going to fix it.
