I've actually been cutting my own hair w/ scissors and a comb for close to 20 years. And it's not even a buzz-cut. I used to go to a really good hair-cutting school and get it done when I was in college back in Minneapolis. I went so many times that it was almost like getting a free education watching them do it and then getting critiqued from their instructor. It was a cheap, good HC done by young, frequently hot girls. The shampoo and scalp massage while leaning back with those tits in your face was worth the price of admission.
Anywhoo, I started doing it myself and got good enough at it so that a cheap HC was always inferior. What I'm saying is that I could get a better one than doing it myself but only for big bucks at a fancy place. Fantastic Sam's would not compete, I can do a lot better. Plus it's always the way I wanted it, no communication barrier w/ myself.
When I was young, I was vain about my hair and it mattered. Now I'm older and it's a lot less important but I still save a lot of dough doing it myself. The only time I ever get a HC in a chair is when I'm back in Mpls. and go to that school I mentioned. It's called The Aveda Institute, (used to be the Horst Academy back in the day). Still cheap and excellent.
