your cheapest options:
- Kragen can order them for far cheaper than you can get them anywhere else, and you can get:
- the axle with two bearings on it, just the bearings, just the boot, or combo of all the above
- Junkyard. I got an axle and two repackable bearings for $50
Those guys you have are shot, and odds are the Pass. side is likewise. They don't have to be dry to be damaged, they have to be PACKED full of grease, that prevents them from wearing a clean spot and wearing out.
