A few years ago, I bought a 1997 Tiptronic Boxster. Had a PPI which gave it the all clear.
Within 3 months I had over $4,000 worth of repairs racked up (overheating, electrical problems and Tiptronic (new) not shifting in the correct "map") and more needed so I got rid of it.
I bought a 911 SC coupe-great car but not a daily driver in our (Western Australian) hot climate-no a/c.
As the memory of the horror of Boxster ownership fades, I find myself once again attracted the Siren's call of a more modern Porsche.
This time I'm considering a 996 coupe with a manual box and effective a/c (It's all my budget will allow-approx A$50-60,000.
Any advice out there?
Anyone done a similar move and your experience?
