I may be able to help. My situation is similar. Bought a 914. had it stripped and sandblasted and primed wit epoxy. Its on a roticerie so I can easily photograph it if that is a help.
Mine is so full of holes that i have determined that it is not restorable. So I am parting it out. Do you need anything. Almost every old car has rust around the battery. Your pic shows typical damage, but if that is the worst of it you are lucky.
My body is complete and patchable except for the drivers door, but to bring it to rights would take I estimate maybe $40k, that I don't have.

All else except soft parts are useable. Engine is good, got another 100k to go before rebuilding.
G Do it yourself and you know what you've got.
