My 30 GB Classic Ipod is having problems with the earphone jack, one channel goes in and out, and it's the same with several other headphones that I know are good. Apple wants $129 to repair it. I think the female internal jack just needs a little cleaning or bending of the contact. Any experience out there. I could put my music on my IPhone, but that runs the battery down faster than I'd like.
