I have a Makita that i've had for years and still works like brand new.

If you're not opposed to them on Moral grounds, Wal Mart is probably as cheap as you'll find them anywhere. I got mine at Home depot about 8 years ago, it's a 12v, and has never lacked the grunt required to do any job.
