I have had Ryobi (garbage) Dewalt / Black& Decker (no complaints) and now Panasonic. The Panasonic was the most expensive but is small and very well made. It has a 15v battery that pulls like an 18. It is sort of the Porsche of drills.
HOWEVER, I bought when Lithium batteries were still pretty special so I did not get one. I thought the build quality of the Dewalt / B&D was perfectly acceptable only that the model I previously owned (stolen by D-bag tenant) had horrible balance.
The short coming of the Panasonic? Old tech batteries. They rocked when new. Now, they are only good. I would buy the Lithium batteries now.
