Paint it black, drill a hole in the back of each cubby just large enough to stick a large Christmas tree bulb in, buy a 60-75 bulb strand where each light blinks on and off independently.
Put the thing in the corner of the room with your stereo, plug it in, turn off all the lights, and put on some Iron Butterfly.
