Actually, all ideas stated above are great. If you have kids, it would be fantastic to store barbies, kid shoes, hot wheels - what ever.

If you don't have kids, storega eideas: a shop organizer, a place to store tackle or ammo shells, cans of spray paint (if your into grafetti).

For the artsy side, all sorts of opitions abound - I like the lightbulb idea or the collectable organizer.

If you have some time, make little drawers for each (or at least little doors) and use for different spices et al in the kitchen.
