Yes, I recall that story, too. But there are no serial numbers on breast implants--just lot numbers. So it's not so simple as finding a unique serial number, calling the manufacturer to find out to which surgeon those two implants were shipped, and then contacting the doc (or the surgery facility) to find out which patient received those particular implants. It's likely a lot more complicated than that.
