Based on the added expense of building a conditioned crawl, coupled with the perpetual expense of conditioning the enclosed space, I think I have decided to go with elevated slab.

Everything I am reading seems to indicate that the sub-slab plumbing has come a long way in dependability in the last couple of decades... so I guess I am going to take that gamble.
