I haven't had a speeding ticket in decades but if you must...
My tips... stick to the limit on surface streets... on the interstate, try to spot the locals... if they suddenly slow down do the same... if you can't spot the locals follow the truck drivers... and never exceed the limit by 10-15 mph.
I don't use a radar detector but some swear by them.
