Hello,

I used to manufacture the frame for Bike E. They were shut down by the Federal Consumer Products something something over a recall. My understanding is that the back seat support failed but I could be incorrect.

The thing that really scares me on these is that Bike E never heat treated after welding. That is, the temper of the aluminum is all out of whack and annealed at the heat affected zone for the welds. Caution! Not sure if it will impact the integrity of the frame but I know that all the frames my employer built had heat treat after welding. It was mandatory.
