I agree with some of the other folks, Rick. They're tenants, not housesitters.

Dust bunnies and carpet stains and bags of trash aren't a problem. Yes, they're not too considerate.

If a tenant stole your toilet or something, that's a problem.


I do think it's perfectly fair to take a cleaning fee out of the deposit, though.
