our other cars currently are a 79 MB 300TD (serves as truck) and a 2001 Golf TDI (50 MPG) that was near-totalled yesterday. The 914 is my daily driver "have fun in the sun" car so I would replace it with a similar vehicle.

Since we may have to replace our Golf now, the Jetta Wagon TDI is at the top of the list as our 20,000 miles per year car.
