Sana'a is ok but the security issue is not worth it.

Muscat was very nice but if you want to see somewhere that really has not changed in a LONG time, go to Tripoli Libya. No food chains, no hotel chains and so on, its really like it was at least 50 years ago. The souks are excellent as well.

Casablanca was fun and people were friendly, Algeria not as much so but still nice. Dar was ok but again a security issue that I do not need at my age.
