I'm considering a backdate on my SC. I tried to search, but I must have used the wrong criteria to answer my question.

The question concerns LWB vs SWB parts.

1) Is an early SWB car a suitable donor (hood/fenders etc.) for an SC to perform a backdate?

I see nice early SWB parts (usually 912's) pop up all the time at reasonable prices, although I really don't expect that trend to last too many more years and I'd like to stash a set away for a future build.
