As for the difference mega Ohms and kilo Ohms - yes there is a significant difference. Kilo is 10 to the power of 3 (1000) and mega is 10 to the power of 6 (100.000), so a signicant difference. A reading of 1 Mohm would be 1000 Kohm. The other way around, 1 Kohm would be the same as 0,001 Mohm.
As for the spider plenum, as far as I see the system, the runners from the plenum donīt carry an air/fuel mixture - but only air up until the injectors. From the injectors on in its an air/fuel mix. An air tight connection between the plenum and the runners is therefore paramount to ensure correct A/F mix.
If radiator hose would work - donīt see why not.
