i have hagerty and never worry about it being covered except at the track. you need specific track use coverage for that and i dont think hagerty does that.
how would they know if you are using it for a DD or just for what the policy covers, unless you tell them? so i wouldnt worry about it. our states colector plate rules are about the same for when it is on the road but how will LEO know why you are driving either? one thing the state allows is "for the enjoyment of others".... any time my 40yr old car is on the road is bound to make someone happy
the main restrictions i see is them wanting you to have an insured
modern daily driver and to have the colector car garaged.
there is someone on this board that has colector insurance on five cars for 3 drivers three of them are their daily drivers...but the wife drives a modern car so they all use her car as the modern dd requirement.
i love the spare parts part of my policy...it covered a complete windsheild replacement no problem.
