if you determine the switch is fine, you can then remove the door panel and use your meter to determine that the window motor is getting power. if power is getting to the motor, then you have a motor problem.

Roger that. I've decided that I'm going to replace all the switches in the center console at the same time. I opened them up today and they were loaded black crud. I lost the steel ball for the moonroof switch. Thank goodness it was closed. I barely nudged it trying to remove it and it jumped right through a little hole in the switch and fell into the bowels of the center console. I was like

.
Then I had a look at the switches for the driver seat. I was trying to remove one of the panel screws and it popped out and fell into the parking brake hold. I was like

. My magnet was too large to fit in there.
Then I started thinking about what else I could screw up today, but couldn't think of anything else I could mess with.
