Filling these fun cars with coolant is a fun job.. i raid the front end of the car a little and i take of the bleed screw and wrap a rag around the bleed screw to catch any coolant. But before i jack up the car i make sure my heater setting is on hot as to allow coolant in the heater core too.
Jack the car up
Fill it up with coolant until it seems the res is full and let it sit for a few min and check back on it later ( should be at almost empty again)
Fill it up again check in a few min until it no longer empties and keep checking to see if coolant comes out of the bleeder screw.
Squeeze the upper radiator hose and hopefully coolant should come out if it has not leaked out already.
If it leaks or if you can get it to leak by squeezing the upper radiator hose let it slowly leak out coolant while you insert the bleeder screw as to not let in any air.
Run the car, for a few min until it reaches normal operating temperature and if you squeeze the upper radiator hose it should resist and snap back once the thermostat opens up. If that doesent work and i put the blame on the Gremlins
Fun stuff hapens if you dont get all the air out of the system like.. the fans don't turn on.. the temp guages goes up and down.... coolant wont flow properly.
Regards
J
