That is the same as mine, but I pissed around with some more bends in my exit pipe to get it to come out flatter (so the tip wasn't pionting at the ground). I kicked up so much dust when backing up, I needed it to come out flat.
But yes in hind sight I would have used the top for the inlet and the bottom for the outlet.
I was having a tough time swallowing paying $600 or $700 for a billyboat, fabspeed or something like that, when I wasn't even sure if I would like the sound. Like I said, I don't think this setup cost me more than $125 bucks.
I may redo it this winter with some nice mandrel seamless, but for now I'm just driving it.
Are you running a Cat, test pipe or pre muffler?
I could tone mine down a bit by taking off the test pipe and putting the cat back on.
