Actually the '66/'67 Fairlane and Comet with a small block Ford are under 3000 pounds. They move out quite nicely with a hipo 289.
I actually think they are too flimsy a car for big block power without some reinforcement. It's a unibody car with very little structure. They don't have beefy longitudinals like a 911.
