My old computer was giving me problems and I was due for an upgrade, so I picked up a refurb Dell Inspiron 1564 for $660 last week. Intel i3 processor, 4gb ram, 320gb hd, upgraded video card, wled hd widescreen montior...basically miles above my 4 yr old inspiron it is replacing.
So far I am loving it, I really like windows 7 although I am still getting used to how it all works. That and dell partitioned the hard drive into 2 sections, so I still sorting that out slightly, but overall everything is great.
The one question I have at this point is about the taskbar. Most of programs when opened are simply highlighted. However, some of them, notably iTunes, when opened show up twice on the taskbar with only one highlighted. Anybody know why this is or if there is fix? I saw a few things elsewhere online that simply suggested it was a bug, but I figured I would ask the braintrust.
