Do you really expect the officer to wait until it's too late to pull out his gun?

Not until it's too late but certainly until there is indication of it as an appropriate measure. The guy on the bike is travelling at a high rate of speed and doing stunts. Not really behavior that indicates a crime has been committed. It is behavior displayed by someone who is NOT trying to avoid being noticed. Was a violent crime committed by an individual in similar attire seen speeding away on a motorcycle? That might be justifiable, pulling wheelies, no way.

Besides domestic violence, traffic stops are one of the deadliest jobs that cops have

........ Furthermore, during that stop, the cop was in a very dangerous tactical position exiting his vehicle positioned in front of the motorcycle. He lacked both cover and concealment.....

Then he's a dumbass as well for putting himself in that situation.

If you notice, the bike is backing up and it almost appears as if the biker is attempting to run.

Yeah cause some guy pulled in front of him and jumped out with a frikkin gun.

Perhaps risking peoples lives in his attempt to elude the officers. Seemed like a real high priority to stop him before anyone got hurt.

A common thing that bikers that are going to run do; is pull over and wait for the cop to exit the car and then suddenly take off.

Giving the order to get off the bike first is human nature in a stressful situation. I did hear him say he was state police within a few seconds.

He needs retraining, "POLICE" should have been the 1st word out of his mouth. If he can't control himself in a stressful situation then he should not be on the street with a gun. That's how people get killed by mistake.

Ever wonder why a cops retirement is so good? Well it's because statistics show that the average officer only lives about 5 years after retiring. Most die of heart attacks or suicide. Wonder why?

Thought it was too many donuts.

A lot of people don't realize but intimidation and fear is a very real fact about successful police work. If you are law abiding citizen you have nothing to worry about. But criminals should be crapping their pants at the mere sight of a police officer.

Fear and intimidation sounds synonymous with bully. And your hardcore criminal that's prone to wacking a cop is not intimidated or afraid of them. Or maybe he is afraid and intimidated by cops which is why they shoot cops. Take your pick.

There is a price to pay for a civil and orderly society. Would you rather the police run around town passing out buttercups and silver stars instead?
Actually yes, I've got the munchies right now.
