Most cops do not "die within 5 years of retirement". You either made that up or someone else pulled it out of their ass and you are repeating it. Put up a reliable study or STFU. I respect good cops a lot, they have the power to do a lot of good or bad in their jobs depending on their psychological make-up. I can't stand anyone whining about the job they do in society. If you don't like it, don't do it.
Cops in most cities, (including L.A.), can retire with a full pension after 20 years on the job. They got it even if they go on and do something else for a living. Many retire when they are barely 40 years old. They do not "die 5 years later", dumb schit.
